Introduction
The Wider Circle Trauma programmes have developed in response to the needs expressed by people whose lives have been adversely affected by post traumatic stress as a result of the troubles in Northern Ireland.
The Programme ordinarily runs over a series of 8-10 weeks with the group meeting once a week for two hours. New programmes are due to begin mid-2010 more details

Creating enabling opportunities for healing and wholeness of people who have experience of harmful or traumatic events
TWC facilitates a process of self-healing through specific programmes for
people who have experienced isolation, alienation or pain stemming from events
experienced during the NI Conflict. TWC also publishes literature designed
to encourage empowerment.
Programme Facililtator Opportunities & Upcoming Events
We will be holding a two day facilitator training on Friday 20th August 2010 and Friday 10th September 2010 at NICVA. The training days are intended to train potential facilitators to run future trauma programmes. Trauma Programmes
We have scheduled an information afternoon for potential programmes participants on 10th September 2010 to be held at NICVA. All those who think they might benefit from engaging in our Self Help Trauma Programme are very welcome to attended to find out more about our unique programme. AGM
Our AGM is will be taking place on Wednesday the 21st October between 5pm and 8pm at the Wellington Park. Please get in touch if you are interested in attending. Further details and details of speakers and presentation will be confirmed soon.
We are currently seeking counsellors, therapists and facilitators who are interested in becoming involved in healing work in our post-conflict society. Please contact us at The Wider Circle if you are interested in becoming involved.
Publications
"The Sky before the Storm" is a book about trauma. You might find it useful if you've had a bad shock. There are two versions of the publication which you can download one with the artist's images and one without.
